The University of Bordeaux was originally founded in 1441, as many universities in France at that time, in 1793 it was disestablished and then was re-founded on 1896. Nowadays, the "Instut Polytechnique" of Bodeaux forms part of the university with different careers in sciences and engineering. Yérom-David Bromberg is full professor at the University of Rennes 1/ESIR being part of the ASAP research group at INRIA/IRISA. Yérom-David got his PhD in November 2006, his research is mainly focused on middleware heterogeneity. Before starting his PhD, Yérom-David was an engineer at Hewlett Packard Labs in Bristol UK.
Laurent Réveillère is associate professor at Enseirb-Matmeca engineering school, which forms part of the Institute of Technology at Bordeaux, France. He is member of the LaBRI Software Engineering research group and head of the group: Programming, Networks and Systems. In 2011 Laurent received his "Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches", degree that allow him to supervise PhD students. His PhD was granted in 2001.
